Knife Designs and Purpose

All of our blades are crafted from high carbon steel and come laser sharp, ready for work straight out of the box. Each design is tailored for specific carving needs — from heavy stock removal to intricate detail work. All blades except style E feature a rounded spine for added comfort and smoother cut roll-out, making them easier on your thumbs during extended carving sessions.

A – Roughing Blade
Designed for removing large amounts of wood quickly, this blade is your go-to for "roughing out" a carving. The reinforced spine provides extra support for heavy cuts, giving you the strength and control needed to shape your project from the start.

B – General Carving & Detail Blade
The perfect all-around blade. With a balanced shape and a refined tip, this blade excels at both shaping and fine detail. Its thinner spine reduces resistance, allowing it to roll smoothly out of cuts — ideal for carvers who want versatility without compromise.

C – Rooster Foot
Named for its playful, curved shape (similar to a hawk bill), this blade shines in tight spaces. It’s perfect for stop cuts, relief cuts, and carving details in hard-to-reach areas. A true favorite among detail-oriented carvers.

D – Clipped Kukri
A dynamic blade with a slight recurve near the base for natural slicing action. Toward the tip, a generous belly helps clean up concave areas with ease. The clipped point offers excellent visibility for placing precision cuts in confined or detailed sections. A strong choice for those who want slicing power and finesse in one blade.

E – Scimitar
Optimized for slicing and navigating tricky spots, like between limbs on an animal cutout. The spine is ground out to expose the tip for improved visibility and control. While it doesn’t have the rounded spine of our other blades, its unique shape makes it a top performer in delicate, angular work.
